Research shows that children who begin their day with a healthy breakfast have greater academic success. All of our students have the privilege of eating both breakfast and lunch at school. Breakfast is FREE for everyone, and is available in the cafeteria in the large building beginning at 8:00 AM. K-3 students eat breakfast in the cafeteria everyday. All other students are encouraged to come in early and have a hot breakfast. Lunches are also available for every student. Some students qualify for free or reduced breakfast/lunch costs, and you will have to complete an application so that determination can be made by the School District of Philadelphia. You can call the school and speak to our cafeteria manager, if you have questions.
Lunches are 30-minutes with a 15-minute recess if weather permits. During inclement weather, lunches are 35 minutes. Please keep in mind that Finletter now has satellite lunches (pre-prepared lunches) for all grades.
